Elements

To enter the Elements application, highlight the app using the directional keys. Press the ok key to enter the application. This application offers a periodic table of elements.

Getting started

Find an element

You can use the directional keys to naviage through the table of elements. You can also search for an element by typing the name of the element or its atomic number to find it in the table.

To search for an element:

Use the numeric keys to enter an element’s atomic number.
Alternatively, use the alpha key followed by an alphabetic key to start entering the name of the element.
The name of the element will start to autocomplete.
- To accept the suggestion, press the right or ok key.
- To decline the suggestion, press back or just continue typing.
- To get a new suggestion, press the up or down key.

View an element

The name of the selected element is displayed above the table with its symbol, atomic number and mass number. The legend at the bottom of the screen indicates the family of the element.

Pressing ok or exe allows you to view the information of the selected element. Here you will find the following properties:

Atomic number
Mass number
Molar mass
Electronic configuration
Electronegativity
Family
Atomic radius
State
Melting temperature
Boiling temperature
Volumic mass
Affinity
Ionization

Change the display

You can change the display of the table of elements to observe different properties. The legend at the bottom of the screen will display the value of the selected property for the selected element. By default, the elements are presented by families: Alkalines, Alkaline-earth metals, Transition metals, etc.
