To enter the **Equations** application, highlight the app using the directional keys. Press the ** ok** key to enter the application. This application allows you to solve equations and systems of equations with both exact and numerical solutions.

You can begin entering your equation as soon as you enter the **Equations** application. You can also choose to utilize one of the equation templates.

To enter an equation without utilizing a template:

- Begin entering your equation as soon as you enter the
**Equations**section. - You can utilize any lower case letter as a variable. To use $x$ as your unknown value, press the
key.*xnt* - To input the equal sign, press
followed by the*shift*key. If you confirm without an equal sign in your equation, $=0$ will be added automatically.*pi* - Press the
key to confirm.*ok*

To use an equation template:

- Highlight
**Add equation**. - Press the
key. The list of equation templates will appear.*ok* - Highlight your desired template.
- Confirm with the
key. Your equation template will now be located in the editing field.*ok* - Use the directional keys and numerical keys to adjust the desired equation as needed.
- Confirm with the
key.*ok*

To obtain the solution(s) of your equation:

- Enter the equation(s) you wish to solve.
- Highlight
**Solve the equation**at the bottom of the screen. - Press the
key to receive the solution(s).*ok*

The solution is given in exact and approximate form. For quadratic and cubic equations, the discriminant (∆) is also given.

Most often, solutions are computed numerically and their value is often approximated.

When you press the **Solve the equation** button, the application may require you to set an interval in which to search for the solution.

Set the values of **Xmin** and **Xmax** and highlight **Solve the equation**. Confirm with the ** ok** key.

If there are many solutions, the calculator will only display the first ten.

You can enter more than one equation to be solved as a system. To enter a system of equations:

- Enter the first equation in your system manually or using a template.
- Highlight
**Add equation**. - Enter the second equation in your system manually or using a template.
- Continue as needed to complete your system.

You can add up to 6 equations.

The application solves linear systems with real or complex coefficients.

To obtain the solutions, highlight **Solve the system** at the bottom of the screen and press the ** ok** key.

The application gives the solutions in exact and decimal form. It also indicates if there are infinitely many solutions or if there is no solution.

When a linear system has infinitely many solutions, the calculator provides the

parametrized formof the solutions.
