To enter the Solver application, highlight the app using the directional keys. Press the ok key to enter the application. This application allows you to solve equations and systems of equations with both exact and numerical solutions. Enter an equation and receive the corresponding solutions.
The first screen of the application allows you to choose between Equations (for solving equations) and Finance (for solving financial calculations).
You may begin entering your equation as soon as you enter the application. You may also choose to utilize one of the equation templates. To use an equation template:
To enter an equation without utilizing a template:
To display the equal sign, press shift followed by the pi key. If you confirm without an equal sign in your equation, it will be added automatically.
To obtain the solution(s) of your equation:
If the input equation is a quadratic equation, the solutions are automatically given in an exact form.
The table will display the value of the discriminant for quadratic equations.
Most often, solutions are computed numerically and their value is often approximated.
When you press the Solve the equation button, the application may require you to set an interval in which to search for the solution.
Set the values of Xmin and Xmax and highlight Solve the equation. Confirm with the ok key.
If there are many solutions, the calculator will only display the first ten.
You may enter more than one equation to be solved as a system. To enter a system of equations:
You may add up to 6 equations.
The application solves linear systems with real or complex coefficients.
To obtain the solutions, highlight Solve the system at the bottom of the screen and press the ok key.
The application gives the solutions in exact form. It also indicates if there are infinitely many solutions or if there is no solution.
In the Finance part, you can choose the parameter to be solved in the context of simple or compound interest and then enter the data so that the calculator calculates the value sought.
