To enter the Solver application, highlight the app using the directional keys. Press the ok key to enter the application. This application allows you to solve equations and systems of equations with both exact and numerical solutions. You can also solve simple and compound interest problems.
The first screen of the application allows you to choose between Equations (for solving equations) and Finance (for solving financial calculations).
You can begin entering your equation as soon as you enter the Equations section**. You can also choose to utilize one of the equation templates.
To enter an equation without utilizing a template:
To use an equation template:
To obtain the solution(s) of your equation:
The solution is given in exact and approximate form. For quadratic and cubic equations, the discriminant (∆) is also given.
Most often, solutions are computed numerically and their value is often approximated.
When you press the Solve the equation button, the application may require you to set an interval in which to search for the solution.
Set the values of Xmin and Xmax and highlight Solve the equation. Confirm with the ok key.
If there are many solutions, the calculator will only display the first ten.
You can enter more than one equation to be solved as a system. To enter a system of equations:
You can add up to 6 equations.
The application solves linear systems with real or complex coefficients.
To obtain the solutions, highlight Solve the system at the bottom of the screen and press the ok key.
The application gives the solutions in exact and decimal form. It also indicates if there are infinitely many solutions or if there is no solution.
In the Finance part, you can choose the parameter to be solved in the context of simple or compound interest and then enter the data so that the calculator calculates the value sought.
