It is possible to update your calculator on Linux from your NumWorks account. However, if you’ve attempted to update your calculator or to follow our restore procedure under Linux with Chromium you may have encountered the following error:
Error: DFUError: OPEN failed --> SecurityError: Access denied.
In recent versions of Ubuntu, the “Chromium” package has a bug that prevents it from accessing the USB ports. We have reported this bug to Ubuntu and it is being resolved. Two solutions are proposed at the end of this bug report.
